64.Ichigo and his friends got back to the human world safely and returned to their daily routine. One day, Lieutenant Renji Abarai came to the town of Karakura for a Soul Reaper mission. Ichigo pretended that they are cousins to avoid suspicion from the people around. That same night, Orihime Inoue had a dream about her brother and found herself in front of a mysterious gate together with 3 mysterious people. Orihime was taken by an enemy that is still unidentified.


65.Captain Commander Yamamoto called for a meeting to discuss the steps being taken to track down and stop Aizen. Meanwhile, Ichigo together with his friends and Renji are looking for clues to find Orihime after Orihime’s disappearance. Renji then received information that Orihime will return to her place at exactly eight o’clock in the evening. They were able to find Orihime at the said time but it was an imposter. The imposter attacked Chad and took Chad down. The imposter showed his real form and his comrades appeared. The mysterious door showed up and sucked Chad into it, Ichigo tried to save Chad but he did not make it in time. Ichigo and Renji tried to fight the three mysterious beings but they were not able to do anything. The three mysterious beings again disappeared without a trace taking with them their second victim Chad.


66.After Chad got taken, Ichigo, Ishida and Renji were the only ones left and they went to Urahara’s place looking for information on the enemies and for Ichigo to leave his physical body in a safe location. Again they received a call telling them to go to a museum for a game. The game is “hide and seek” inside the museum, the museum turned into a maze of illusions and traps. Ichigo and Renji’s short temper and impatience caused them to go their own ways breaking the group apart. Unlike Ichigo and Renji, Uryu analyzed the situation and found a limitation to the illusions. Uryu then made way for their escape and solved the puzzle. Uryu was also able to identify the enemies as modified souls and even took one down. The other two however was able to retrieve the modified soul of their accomplice and left through the mysterious door. The small girl Lirin told them before leaving that the next game will be at their school. Chad and Orihime were returned to them unharmed together with their swords.


67.Ichigo’s group rushed to the school and they were confronted by the enemies telling them the rules of the game. The new game requires Ichigo’s group to find the imposter among his friends and they only get to answer once that if they fail to do so their friends will be exterminated. They must find the imposter before noon or they will fail the game. The game continues and Ichigo’s group went to their classes. During class Renji goes to Ichigo’s table and caused a ruckus having them sent out by their teacher. Ichigo’s groupstill don’t have a clue about how they can find the fake as one of their classmates Tatsuki went missing. Ichigo’s group ran away from class and talked about how they can find the fake. Ichigo’s idea failed and more of their classmates were taken forcing them to make a choice. Luckily Yoruichi and Soi Fon came giving Ichigo clues to identify Chad as the fake. Ichigo was right but Chad is still in the enemies hands forcing Ichigo’s group to participate in a final game.


68.The final game against the modified souls Lirin, Cloud and Nova commences. The mysterious gate took them in and the final game is a battle against the modified souls. Chad was placed in an hourglass and as time runs Chad gets buried under the sand. Ichigo’s group must win the fight before Chad’s time runs out. Ichigo and Renji tried to fight and as Ichigo tried to use his Bankai, he found out that he is no longer able to do it. The game is then concluded as the Hour Glass holding Chad broke and Urahara showed himself explaining what the games are about. They also found out the Ishida Uryu no longer has his Quincy powers but their group just became closer together. The results of Yoruichi’s investigation also came which identifies their new enemies as Bounts.


69.Urahara tells the group about the Bounts and what they are. They are humans that live by eating other human’s souls and they were supposed to be exterminated a long time ago. The modified souls that they fought before were ordered to acoompany Ichigo’s group as they were modified to track down the Bounts. Ichigo’s group was able to find two Bounts, namely Yoshino Soma and Ryo Udagawa. Ryo Udagawa fled and Ichigo faces Yoshino. They still do not know about how strong the Bounts are and what they are capable of doing. Every Bount has a familiar that they can call on to do their bidding, Yoshino summons her own doll named Goethe and the battle begins.


70.Yoshino’s doll Goethe was able to manipulate fire and used it to attack Ichigo. Rukia arrived just in time to save Ichigo but Goethe’s attach still won’t stop. Udagawa comes back and took Yoshino and her doll Goethe away from Ichigo’s group. Ichigo went back to his house together with his friends and celebrated Rukia’s return to the Human world as they discuss the threat of the Bounts. The next day, Udagawa goes on eating human souls and Ichigo together with his friends were there to stop him. Meanwhile, Yoshino took off from the Bounts headquarters not knowing that their leader Jin Kariya is watching her.


71.The battle continues and Udagawa took Uryu as a hostage but Yoshino unexpectedly saved Uryu from Udagawa’s hands. Udagawa unleashes his doll that can summon and manipulate snakes but thanks to Ururu’s bazooka Udagawa fled and withdrew from the fight. In Soul Society, Captain Shunsui Kyoraku is doing an investigation about the Bounts and asked Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi about it. Captain Mayuri refused to show the file but he later realized that the data was erased. Uryu woke up in an apartment with Yoshino and without his powers he cannot do anything. Yoshino told Uryu about Jin Kariya’s plan to open a gateway to “the world of the dead” and that a Quincy’s power is necessary for its completion.


72.Ichigo and his friends got a message from Uryu to pick him up at a hospital. Ichigo’s group went to the said location but the hospital room is flooded by raging water. They noticed that the water flooding is caused by a Bount’s doll that they have not yet encountered before. The dolls tried to kill by drowning him in the water but Ichigo forced his way In and cut down the dolls causing the flood. They were able to rescue Uryu and as they escape the hospital, they crossed paths with two more Bounts, Ho and Ban. The rest of the group took off with Uryu while Ichigo and Renji fight the Bounts Ho and Ban.




73.Ichigo and his friends were able to get outside the hospital. Unfortunately it is raining outside and Ichigo and Renji needed to fight the twin Bounts Ho and Ban that has the ability to control water. The Bounts are at an advantage due to the rain and they used their dolls to create a huge pillar of water. Ichigo was swallowed by the water but he did not drown causing the twins to focus their attention to Uryu. The others tried to run away and take Uryu to a safe place away from the Bounts. The twins came after Uryu but Chad came their way and attacked them. The twins got separated making the huge water form break down. The twins used their very dangerous attack by forcing Ichigo and his group to drink the water and break their bodies from the inside. Nova and the modified souls thought of a way of separating the twins and prevented the death of Ichigo and his friends. Ganju Shiba and Hanataro Yamada arrived, with Ganju using his explosive fireworks to destroy the doll. The twin’s doll was destroyed and the twins died together with it. Ichigo’s group won the battle and as they were checking the area, Uryu went missing.


74.Ichigo together with his friends ran around looking for Uryu as Uryu left without notice and was injured. Uryu ran away from the group without telling anyone and wanders around. As Uryu walked around he was found by Yoshino. Uryu came along with Yoshino and they talked about the Bounts thinking and that they are after Uryu because of his Quincy powers. Back in Soul Society, the 11th Division got hold of news that one of their former members Ichinose Maki is still alive. Everyone thought that Maki is already dead and was not able to find him for such a long time after leaving the 11th Division. Ichinose Maki has sided with the Bounts without anyone knowing. Yoshino continued her story about how she has lived for a very long time and how she suffered through her existence and decided to take her life. It was also then when he met Jin Kariya that told her about the hope for Bounts existence.


75.Yoshino and Uryu were found and attacked by a Bount named Koga. Go Koga used his doll named Dark that turned into metal balls and transformed to small spider creatures. Yoshino and Uryu tried fighting back but were overpowered and were taken by Koga to the Bount’s Mansion where Jin Kariya is waiting. The modified souls were able to track the Bounts location using their sensing abilities. Ichigo and his group prepares for battle as they travel toward the Bount’s place. Back in Soul Society, a meeting has been called by Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi about having a traitor within them. He told everyone that some files were deleted in his database without his knowledge. Kenpachi then thought that the culprit could be Ichinose as Ichinose’s whereabouts are still unaccounted for. In the Bount’s Mansion, Kariya meets with Uryu and tried to convince him that his goal should also be Uryu’s goal which is to create a better world for the Quincy and the Bounts. Uryu though is suspicious about Kariya’s plan and does not trust Kariya a bit putting him in a very dangerous situation.


76.The Modified Souls, Ichigo and Rukia were able to find the Bount’s location. They entered it and confronted the leader Gin Kariya about releasing Uryu but the bounts would not listen. Ichigo begins to fight Udagawa while the others look for Uryu but Ichinose got in their way. Ichinose then talked about how he had lost faith of the 13 Court Guard Squads when his Captain was killed by Zaraki Kenpachi and Kenpachi assumed position right after. Udagawa stopped fighting Ichigo as he planned to betray Kariya but Ichinose went back when he noticed it. Ichinose made it and killed Udagawa leaving Ichigo and him for a face off.


77.Ichigo and Ichinose fight continues and Ichinose tell his story which started when he was still a Soul Reaper. It started when his Captain was horribly killed by Kenpachi and the 13 Court guard squads did not do anything about it. Kenpachi was even given the position of the Captain and Ichinose could not take it. He tried fighting against Kenpachi to avenge his Captain’s death but Kenpachi was just too strong for him. Ichinose having not able to do anything left Soul Society and crossed paths with Jin Kariya whom he swore his loyalty to. Kariya takes action and started fighting with Ichigo but Ichigo was outmatched and was not able to do much against the Bount’s Leader Gin Kariya. Backup arrived and Ururu attacked the mansion with is bazooka as Yoruichi saves Ichigo. Ichigo’s group retreat as they already rescued Uryu from the Bounts.


78.Back in Soul Society, Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi began to talk about the Bounts history. He told a story about the Bounts and Quincys battle where the Quincys won. Right after the battle, the Bounts started to consume living human souls to become more powerful forcing Soul Society to take action as the balance between worlds are disrupted. Captain Mayuri also told everyone that there will be more victims as the Bounts had become active and that they should be ready. In the human world, Ichigo is depressed about how he was not able to do a thing against Gin Kariya. Ganju and Renji together fought Ichigo and lectured him. Ichigo realized how weak he has become as he does not focus on his fights so he decided to train and sharpen himself.


79.Back in Soul Society, Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi began to talk about the Bounts history. He told a story about the Bounts and Quincys battle where the Quincys won. 80.The Bounts did not show any activity and they were not even sighted. Urahara then decided to investigate hoping to know what the Bount’s plans are and took Renji with him to the Bount’s Mansion. Ichigo, Rukia and the Modified Souls were sent home and were tasked to think of a way to counter the Bounts ability. Lirin and Kurodo thought of taking revenge on Ichigo using a trick but things went crazy when it was Rukia that fell into the trick. Rukia attacked and chased them over thinking that they were enemies. The day ended with them not able to do anything and still no idea how they can fight agains the Bounts.


81.The town of Karakura is being attacked by the insect like creature created by the Bounts which they call the bitto. The bitto attacked humans and sucked their souls turning them to ashes then returns to the Bounts taking the purified souls for the Bounts to drink. The 2nd Division responded to the attack but they were not able to damage the bitto. The 10th Division captain saw the situation and ordered more Soul Reapers be sent to the Human World to defend agains the bitto attacks as there were too many bitto for them to handle. Renji saw a boy being attacked by a bitto and attacked it defending the boy.


82.The bounts were able to consume the purified souls and became more powerful. Jin Kariya ordered the other Bounts to test their new power while he rest in his room. Ichigo’s group tried to help Renji against the Bitto but the Bounts appeared. The Bount Yoshi takes on Rukia, Orime and Kurodo to stop them from helping Renji. Ichigo was also attacked by Koga and with Koga’s new power he traps Ichigo in a metal net that he created. Ichigo’s inner hollow took over destroying the doll and keeping Ichigo alive but as Ichigo is about to strike the final attack he regains control of his body. Ichigo then collapsed after his transformation due to the exhaustion.


83.Koga got the chance to finish off Ichigo as Ichigo fell down. He then remembered Cain, a Bount that he once taught about using the dolls. Koga mentored Cain Nao and became close to him, he even taught Cain how to summon a doll but the doll that Cain summoned was too powerful that he Cain was not able to control it. It ended in a tragedy that killed Cain and Koga still blames himself for what happened. Koga then continues his fight with Ichigo.


84.Koga’s doll Dark is about to finish off Ichigo when Lieutenant Izuru Kira of the 3rd Division arrived. Kira released the power of his sword that doubles the weight of anything it slashes. Kira was able to render Dark unable to move by putting in too much weight to it. Kira then moves to fight the owner Koga. Another Bount Yoshi is fighting against Orihime and Rukia but the two were not able to do much. Yoshi initiated a fatal attack to Rukia but missed as she cannot control her doll. Another Bount arrived and used a doll named Ritz to take over Rukia’s body and soul.


85.Ritz took over Rukia’s body and Orihime is forced to fight against Rukia. Orihime with her good nature doesn’t want to fight against Rukia as they were good friends. Orihime is pushed to the corner as Lieutenant Shuhei Hisagi arrived and helped her. Learning the situation from Orihime, Hisagi decided to fight Rukia seriously even if he had to kill her but thanks to Orihime’s determination she was able to separate Rukia and the doll Ritz. Hisagi got the chance and destroyed the doll. Hisagi came after Mabashi the owner of the doll but Ichinose came and took Mabashi away.

86.Rangiku Matsumoto, the 10th Division Lieutenant came to Chad, Ururu and Nova’s aid. They were fighting with the Bount Sawatari that uses a doll named Baura that can pass through solid objects. The doll takes the form of a fish with a rock body and uses an ability to travel through dimensions. It hides under the ground making it hard for Chad’s group to fight against it. Baura took in Ururu inside it and Rangiku decided to present herself as bait for Chad to attack it. Baura came out after Rangiku and Chad attacked it towards Nova, Nova then used his power to take Baura and Sawatari to another dimension and they succeeded. The enemies were able to escape though as they seem to have similar abilities and Nova got injured.


87.Nova got injured but he was able to take Chad and Rangiku away to plan an attack. They have decided to attack Sawatari which is the owner as they find it hard to attack the doll. Nova’s ability together with Rangiku’s Kido Spell to attack Sawatari was successful forcing Baura out for Chad to attack. Chad had the chance and punched Baura in the stomach forcing Ururu out of it. Sawatari decided to retreat from the fight and left with them not able to do anything to stop him. In Soul Society, Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi recovered the erased file and ordered her Lieutenant to deliver an item to Uryu. Soul Society has been entered by an intruder that they cannot see and Captain Commander Yamamoto called for Captain Byakuya.

88.Ichigo’s group won the battle as they got support from Soul Society’s Lieutenants. They went to Urahara’s place to regroup and devise a plan to stop the Bounts. The Lieutenants Matsumoto, Kira and Hisagi went after the Bounts arriving at a cave. They entered the cave where a Bount name Ugaki is waiting for them. Ugaki used his doll Gesell to tear the Soul Reaper group apart and made them more vulnerable separately. Ugaki the Lieutenants one after another and defeated them. Back in Soul Society, the Captain Commander talked to Captain Byakuya about a traitor among them. The Captain Commander suspects Captain Mayuri of treason and asked Byakuya for any record that the Byakuya clan has of the Bounts.

89.Ichigo and Renji went after the Lieutenants to back them up. They arrived at the cave where they encountered the doll Gesell. Gesell took the form of a large group of one eyed creatures. Luckily they came across Rangiku who fought Gesell recently and gave them an advice to destroy anything that creates a shadow. Ichigo and Renji were able to do it and destroy the creatures but they forgot that their bodies also create shadows. The Bount Ugaki used their own shadows to attack them by creating swords out of their shadows but the attack failed as Lieutenant Hisagi and Kira stopped it. Meanwhile, Nemu reached Ishida Uryu’s location and attacked Uryu immediately to confirm that Uryu can no longer use his Quincy powers. After confirming it, Nemu gave the Quincy battle item that Captain Mayuri sent, the Quincy item is said to allow Ishida to once again use his Quincy powers.

90.Ichigo and Renji went deeper into the cave to find Jin Kariya and stop him. They came across the Bount Ugaki, Ugaki tried stopping them by unleashing the true form of his doll Gesell. Gesell took the form of a black humanoid creature but Ugaki was no longer able to control it, the doll attacked its owner and threw Ugaki’s body to Ichigo and Renji. Renji used his Bankai to stop Gesell’s rampage breaking down the cave and causing rocks to fall. Ichigo proceeds past the falling rocks to face Jin Kariya and the other Bounts. Once again, Ichigo fights against Jin Kariya but he was not able to do anything. Jin Kariya overpowered Ichigo easily and as Ichigo struggled Kariya revealed their true intentions. Kariya told Ichigo that their plan is not to connect the Human World to the “World of the Dead” rather they will connect it to Soul Society to enact their revenge for what the Bounts have been through.

91.Kariya is about to finish Ichigo by stabbing him with his own sword but Ichigo grabbed the sword. Ichigo grabbed the sword but still stabbed himself with it. Ichigo then once again enters the world of Zangetsu that lies within his subconscious. Ichigo talked to Zangetsu and once again gains the ability to use Zangetsu’s power as his own. Ichigo came back to reality and unleashed his Bankai, he was then able to fight Kariya on equal grounds. Ichigo’s friends arrived at the cave including Uryu that got his Quincy powers back. Uryu Ishida then shoots an arrow through the gate that the Bounts created completing their plan and allowing them to reach Soul Society. Everybody got surprised about what Uryu did but he explained himself that he only did it to defeat Jin Kariya inside Soul Society.
