After a lengthy absence, Nick Fury returns, having assembled a team of heroes in secret (comprised of himself, Black Widow, Mockingbird and Quake) to gather information about the impending Skrull invasion of Earth. He informs Iron Man that the Skrulls are going to invade the planet very soon - and that one of them may be lurking within the Avengers' ranks. The team is quickly torn asunder by paranoia and mistrust.
