When Oliver goes missing after Moira's death, Diggle and Felicity enlist the help of Amanda to track him down. They find him in a secret hideout, where he reveals his intention to give himself up to Slade in order to save everyone else. Isabel returns and shuts down Verdant, forcing Thea to make a decision to leave Starling City. Sebastian is sworn in as Mayor, but Laurel uncovers documentation that he knew Slade was going to kill Moira. Laurel reveals to Oliver that she knows he is the Arrow and that Sebastian is working with Slade. After confronting Sebastian, Oliver decides that they have no choice but to kill Slade's Mirakuru army. The plan backfires, with Oliver and Laurel cornered by Slade's army, various Mirakuru soldiers wearing Deathstroke armors wreaking havoc on the city, and Diggle being confronted by Isabel wearing the armor. In flashbacks, Anatoly repairs the Japanese submarine and he and Oliver prepare to attack the Amazo; but Oliver gets a distress signal from Sara outside the submarine.
